How to get a library card…….

Ask at the front desk for an application card.

There are two kinds:

Temporary—If you have not lived in Cordova for one year, we ask you pay a $15 deposit that is refundable. The deposit is for the entire family.

Permanent—If you have lived in Cordova for more than one year, OR if you have had a Cordova Public Library card previously OR if you are Coast Guard personnel — you are not required to make a deposit. Fill out a card for each member of your family. Library staff will make you a laminated library card or you may choose to just be in the computer system.

Public Access Computer terminals — surf the world wide web from the comfort of the library

Read a magazine without a personal subscription. Read the local paper or a variety of statewide newspapers. Check out music, computer software, and even puzzles for a rainy day!
